Richard O'Hegarty

Richard is a researcher specialising in decarbonisation solutions for the built environment. He works with both industry and academia, as RKD's Research Lead and as a Research Fellow in UCD. He has a PhD in facade engineering and has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles in areas such as national whole life carbon quantification, heat pump technology, prefabricated concrete systems and building insulation. The scope of Richard's research portfolio allows him investigate the built environment form a holistic perspective.
