Stephen Barrett

Stephen joined the IGBC in 2020 to work on Whole Life Carbon (WLC) projects. He is working on Level(s), the EU initiative to promote a common language around the environmental performance of buildings. He also led UPFRONTCO2 and INDICATE projects, developing and testing a methodology for measuring whole life carbon emissions of buildings. He’s the trainer of IGBC’s Embodied Carbon 101 course. He has an MSc. in Sustainability & Adaptation in the Built Environment and a background in data management, analysis and presentation.
