The event will take place on 11-12 November 2026 at the RDS Dublin and held in partnership with the Government of Ireland.

Education Buildings Ireland 2026: update on Thursday 12 November

We’re aware of the public sector strike planned for Thursday 12 November, which falls on Day 2 of Education Buildings Ireland 2026. This is outside the control of everyone involved. We want to be open with you about how we’re planning for it, and how we’ll work through it together.

We’re in close contact with our partners, including representatives from the Government of Ireland, and have prepared a Contingency Plan. Our aim is to make sure the event continues to deliver real value for everyone taking part.

What do we cover?

Organised in partnership with the Government of Ireland, this is a two day event dedicated to creating high-quality learning environments for all students and learners.

Conference

Be inspired at the Education Buildings Ireland Conference - a CPD-accredited, multi-stream programme running across both days of the event, designed to inform, inspire and support all those involved in creating high-quality learning environments.

Developed in partnership with the Government of Ireland, the conference addresses the most pressing issues in the funding, design, construction, management and maintenance of education buildings, from primary through to higher education.

Covering topics such as sustainability, net zero carbon goals, digital and flexible learning spaces, community engagement, and improving the user experience for students and staff, the conference offers practical knowledge and inspiration to help shape the next generation of education buildings.
